 Do I have to book into the class or can I just show up?

You can just show up to any class. No booking is required. If you have any queries or questions please feel free to contact us before you come to class.


Do I need to bring my own mat?

If you have your own mat, you are welcome to bring it along. Otherwise, we provide studio mats that you can use.


Do you have beginner classes?

Our classes are designed for beginner and intermediate students.


What style of Yoga do you do?

Shanti Yoga™, which is a form of Classical Yoga, which offers an integrated yoga experience of health, vitality, well-being and peace of mind. The class starts with a settling in period of a few minutes and then moves to Pranayama and is followed by asana or postures. At the end of the class there is a short relaxation.


What is Yoga?

Yoga is an ancient Indian practice that helps to 'still the thought waves of the mind' (Patanjali, Indian Sage). "The goal of Yogic transformation is realized in contemplative practice. This is the sacred journey home - to who you are. This journey is not achieved by travelling, but by being still". (Patanjali's Sutras. Shanti Gowans).

What do I need to bring?

Just comfortable clothing to practise in. Mats, blankets, pillows and filtered water are provided. If you have your own mat and wish to bring it, you are welcome to do so. There are change rooms and a bathroom available at the studio.


 Can I attend if I am pregnant?

Please call and let us know but generally Shanti Yoga is safe for Pregnant Mothers.
